Providing Park Food to Local Children’s Cafeterias* in Konohana Ward, Osaka

As part of its efforts to bring smiles to children's faces, USJ provides candy, turkey legs, and other park foods to a local children's cafeteria in Konohana-ku, Osaka.

The park began supporting local children’s cafeterias in 2020 with the hopes of bringing smiles to children’s faces during the start of the pandemic. The program continues to this day with deliveries made every few months.

  • *What are Children’s Cafeterias? While operating styles vary, “Kodomo Shokudo” (Children’s Cafeterias) generally provide healthy meals for free or at very low cost while preventing children from eating alone and providing a safe place for children and families in the local community across Japan.

The park has provided the Children’s Cafeterias with candy popular at the park, turkey legs, dumplings featuring popular park characters and lunch boxes.

The operators of the Children’s Cafeterias has commented that “We need more! [The items] Make many children happy”, and “the kid’s faces light up when they see the food from the park”.

USJ will continue to strongly wish and work hand in hand with the local community for a society full of children’s smiles.
