15th Annual “UNIVERSAL WONDER NIGHT” Charity Dinner Show Held in Support of Local Community

The Charity Dinner Show gives shape to our desire to contribute to society. The cumulative total donations have exceeded 200 million yen, and we are accelerating our CSR initiatives.
The “UNIVERSAL WONDER NIGHT” is held in support of the local region and to contribute to the development of the community. This event has been held annually since 2008 together with partner corporations, and the year 2023 marks the 15th time the event has been held. In 2023, thirty-seven partner companies participated in the event, bringing the total cumulative amount of donations from this event to over 200 million yen.
USJ matches the amount of donations gathered from our partner corporations and after deducting the costs of producing the Dinner Show for a total donation of 18 million yen. The funds gathered have allowed us to donate 15 million yen to Osaka Ikueikai’s grant scholarship fun as the “Osaka Ikueikai USJ Scholarship”, as well as donating an assistive vehicle worth 3 million yen to a welfare facility located within Osaka.
The Osaka Prefecture Ikueikai USJ Scholarship Fund is a scholarship grant program which was established in 2010 with the cooperation of Osaka Prefecture Ikueikai. The program supports the dreams of high school students who are unable to progress to higher education due to financial hardship and provide 1 million yen of financial support for each student selected. Since its start in 2011, the program has helped make the dreams of 165 high school students come true over 13 terms by 2023.
In cooperation with various companies and organizations, USJ will continue to work toward further development of the region and support for a society where children can grow up healthy and pursue their dreams.
