Giving Shape to our Employees Dreams. Donation of Kickover Aid Equipment to Local Kindergarten Brings Smiles to Children’s Faces

USJ employees voluntarily operate a charitable fund and donation activities to bring smiles to children’s faces.
The Universal Studios Japan Foundation is a charity fund established in 2022 and unique to USJ. Employees who support the program choose the category of their choice from "activities to support the future of children", "support for the local community of Osaka", and "disaster and humanitarian assistance", and make monthly contributions. Thanks to the good will of many employees the fund has grown steadily. The voices of employees who want to actively participate in the program, expressing their desire to "to contribute to society into action", are gradually growing and the circle of charitable activities is expanding.
In 2022, under the “Supporting Children’s Futures Program”, the park donated tablet styluses to 4,400 elementary and middle school students in Konohana-ku, Osaka, where the park is located. And in September of 2023, we donated pull-over assistance equipment for students at the Denpo Kindergarten in Konohana-ku, Osaka to help them use the horizontal bar. The recipients and the items were donated after consulting with Konohana-ku on what the children really needed.
The presentation ceremony was attended by a large number of people involved, including the preschool's teachers, the Mayor of Konohana-ku and other government officials, the preschool children and their parents, and Universal Studios Japan entertainers and employees, with the children bursting into smiles at the surprise appearance of their favorite characters from the park.
We at USJ will continue to make the community Super Energized while helping to build a bright future for the children.
