
Important Notice
Violating safety rules such as climbing over, straddling, or scaling fences or other barriers; entering the Park through exits; and handing bags or other belongings between the areas before and after the security check are strictly prohibited.
Guests who do not follow the rules may be asked to leave the Park.
Guests who are accompanying children are asked to carefully supervise them at all times.
We ask for your cooperation to ensure that all Guests can enter the Park smoothly and enjoy the Park safely.
Security check before entering the Park
For the safety and enjoyment of all Guests visiting Universal Studios Japan, security checks using metal detectors and X-ray machines are conducted before entering the Park.
Guests who obstruct or refuse to undergo the security check will be denied Park entry.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation so that everyone can enter the Park smoothly.

To proceed smoothly through the security check

Step 1
Please remove all items from your pockets and place them in your bag.
If you do not have a bag, please place all items from your pockets onto the tray.
Please remove drink containers, such as water bottles and disposable plastic bottles, and keep them in your hands.

Step 2
Place your bag on the tray.

Step 3
Please keep drink containers in your hands.
Beverages in glass bottles, cans, and containers that cannot be completely closed, such as coffee cups with/without lids and drink cartons, are not allowed.

Step 4
Please hold metal water bottles above your head and proceed through the metal detector gate.
The content of your drink containers will be checked after you pass through the gate.
Precautions
- Any items in strollers also need to be checked, so we ask for your cooperation in placing all items onto the trays for the security check.
- If you are wearing a medical device and have concerns about the security check, please consult a crew member.
- We will also check any liquids you bring and may ask you to confirm the contents and to cooperate by tasting it.
- The contents of your bags or other items you bring with you may be checked.
- If the metal detector gate does not provide sufficient confirmation, the crew will conduct a body check, for which we ask your cooperation.
- After entering the Park, if you exit and want to re-enter, you will need to go through the security check once again.
- Guests who have not gone through the security check are strictly prohibited from handing bags or other belongings to Guests who have already passed the security check.

Items not allowed in the Park

Oversize luggage
● Carts
Excluding strollers, wheelchairs, and medical equipment for walking assistance, the following types of oversized luggage are not allowed in the Park.
- Luggage (suitcases, trunks, and similar large luggage), transport carts, vehicles, etc.
Note: Carrying children on 4-wheeled carts intended for transporting goods is not allowed.
Please use the coin-operated lockers to store your luggage. For luggage that does not fit inside the coin-operated lockers, please consult the crew.
● Oversize baggage
- Please refrain from bringing baggage that is too large to be inspected with X-ray inspection equipment (width 400 mm × length 590 mm × height 300 mm, or larger). Please use the coin-operated lockers to store your oversize belongings.
Notes:
• Umbrellas and walking sticks are allowed.

Dangerous items (blades, including pocket knives, explosives, other weapons, helmets, tools, etc.)
Blades (pocket knives, scissors, box-cutters, etc.), explosives, weapons (guns, swords, handcuffs, water guns, sprayers, etc., including imitations, toys, and home-made items), helmets (of any shape, including children's helmets), items and tools that are generally considered dangerous, and items that could harm other Guests.
Note: Current and past products sold in the Park are allowed.

Alcoholic drinks; beverages in containers such as coffee cups with lids, glass bottles, and cans
Alcoholic and other drinks in glass bottles, cans, drink cartons, and containers that cannot be completely closed, such as coffee cups with/without lids, are not allowed.

Food
Food brought in from outside may not be consumed in the Park.
Notes:
• Please consult a crew member if you wish to bring in baby food or snacks for small children.
• If you have dietary restrictions and have questions about bringing food and beverages into the Park, please consult with the crew.
• At some restaurants in the Park, we offer dishes according to the various needs of Guests with dietary restrictions. Learn more here > Link to Meals page.

Monopods, tripods, and selfie sticks
For everyone's safety, bringing in or using monopods, tripods, and selfie sticks in the Park is prohibited.
Selfie sticks (extendable types prohibited) may be used as long as they fit within the palm of your hand, are used with one hand, and do not extend above your head.

Transceivers, unmanned aerial vehicles (drones, etc.), and radio-controlled devices including self-propelled robots.
The flying of unmanned aerial vehicles within the Park is a violation of aviation law.
Note: Breaking the law concerning unmanned aerial vehicles will result in a fine of up to 500,000 yen.
Items that cannot be brought into the Park may be deposited in the coin-operated lockers.

Pets
Dogs, cats, and other pets may not be brought into the park. However, assistance dogs are allowed.
Re-entry
Guests re-entering the Park are required to go through the security check again as they did when they first entered. We appreciate your understanding.
Only Annual Passes allow re-entry. Guests with other admission tickets cannot re-enter the Park once they exit.
Note: Guests using the parking lot, should be aware of these points before exiting the Park.
