Annual Pass Terms of Use
- 1. Passes cannot be canceled or changed once purchased.
- 2. With the exception of important terms such as price and period of validity, the Annual Pass Terms of Use are subject to change at our discretion and without notice. In such cases, the new terms shall apply to your Annual Pass.
- 3. Annual Passes are valid from the start of the period of validity until the day before the same date the following year. If the last valid day falls on a holiday, or if it falls on a blockout date for a Universal Prime Annual Pass: Standard, the immediately preceding business day will become the last valid day. Note that during the period of validity, we may close the Park, change the operating hours, or change or suspend schedules without notice due to weather or other factors.
- 4. If you purchase a Universal Prime Annual Pass: Standard, and then upgrade the pass to a Universal Prime Annual Pass: Grand Royal, you will be charged the difference between the price of the Universal Prime Annual Pass: Standard and the price of the Universal Prime Annual Pass: Grand Royal on the day of the upgrade. When upgrading, the period of validity will remain the same as that of your original Annual Pass.
- 5. The price of the Annual Pass is based on your age as of the start of the period of validity. Even if you are under age 12 (elementary school age) at the time of application, the adult price will be charged if you will be age 12 (junior high school age) on the day the period of validity starts.
- 6. You can apply to renew your Annual Pass 2 months before the last valid day. The price of a renewed pass may vary depending on the date of purchase. Please consult a crew member for details.
- 7. We will use the QR code on your Annual Pass to verify your registered facial recognition data before admission to Universal Studios Japan (the Park). You must present your Annual Pass each time you enter the Park, so be sure to always have it with you.
Note: When verifying your facial recognition data, we may ask you to remove your glasses, sunglasses, hat, mask, etc.
- 8. Annual Passes can only be used within the regular Park operating hours during the period of validity. An Annual Pass cannot be used for special paid events or for events that occur during special operating hours (such as "New Years' Countdown") that require a separate ticket. In addition, the Universal Prime Annual Pass: Standard cannot be used on blockout dates.
Note: Refer to the back of your Universal Prime Annual Pass: Standard to check blockout dates.
- 9. Please be aware that, depending on Park conditions, Guests with Annual Passes may have to wait before entering the Park or may be denied entry to the Park due to admission limits. Furthermore, after entering the Park, you may have to wait to use certain attractions or facilities, or you may be refused entry to certain attractions or facilities, depending on Park conditions.
- 10. Modified, altered, or duplicated Annual Passes are invalid.
- 11. An Annual Pass can only be used by the registered person. If we are unable to determine that the Annual Pass is registered to you, we may not allow you to enter the Park.
- 12. Please read the "Park Guidelines" on the official website and the attraction usage requirements carefully before enjoying the Park.
- 13. If we find that you have used the Annual Pass improperly; engaged in behavior that violates laws, public order, or morals at the Park; or engaged in behavior that disturbs other Guests; you will be asked to return your Annual Pass. In such cases, you will not be given a refund. In addition to denying your entry to the Park for a certain period of time, we may disallow you from purchasing another Annual Pass in the future.
- 14. The Annual Pass is the property of USJ LLC. Resale, lending, pawning, and transfer of the Annual Pass to third parties is prohibited. Please return the pass immediately upon our request for return.
- 15. If your Annual Pass has been stolen, lost, or damaged, please contact the Information Center (0570-20-0606) or Guest Services located both inside the Park and in front of the Park entrance. We will assist you with the procedure to reissue your Annual Pass.
- 16. Reissuing an Annual Pass incurs a handling fee of 200 yen (tax included). To have your pass reissued, you must come in person and present identification that can be used to verify your personal information. If you ever forget to bring your Annual Pass, you may still enter the Park as long as you pay the 200 yen (tax included) handling fee to have your pass reissued.
