Re-entry to the Park
Admission tickets, except for Annual Studio Passes, do not grant re-entry to the park after exiting.
* Guests using the Parking, Picnic Area, Kennel, or other facilities outside the park are asked to take the re-entry policy into account.
Food and beverages
Bringing food and beverages from outside the park is prohibited. If you want to bring your own food and beverages, they must be taken to the Picnic Area outside of the Main Gate (near the parking area).
Smoking Area
To ensure the safe enjoyment of all guests, the park (including the areas in front of the main gates and parking lot) has separate smoking and non-smoking areas. Please smoke (including electronic cigarette) only in designated areas where there are ashtrays. Note that ashtrays may be temporarily removed or moved for guest safety when the park is crowded.
Photos and videos inside the park
Universal Studios Japan® is partially restricting the use of cameras or video cameras to ensure an enjoyable experience of all our guests.
- You may be asked to refrain from photographing with a mobile phone camera or LCD video camera, or using a tripod when it is thought to be causing an inconvenience to other guests.
- You may be asked to refrain from any photographing if we deem that it is causing an inconvenience or hazard to other guests.
* Please do not stand up from your seat during the course of any show or attraction.
The following items are
not permitted in the Studios.
- Dangerous items
- Wireless transmitters
- Pet animals such as dogs, cats, etc., with the exception of licensed assistance dogs (guide dogs, service dogs, hearing dogs, etc.).
(Please place your pets in the Kennel.)
- Any items that resemble weapons (including toys and handmade items) cannot be brought in the park (except for toys and other items that are sold in the park.)
- Please refrain from bringing wheel carts, large bags with wheels or handles, or skateboards.
* Please refrain from carrying people on wheel carts or other similar equipment throughout the park.
The following items are not to be used in the park.
- Flags and armhands(including use for guidance)
- Hand microphone,whistles,etc.
Regarding costumes
The park welcomes guests who want to enjoy wearing various types of costumes and attire.
If, however, any of the following rules and restrictions are not followed, guests may be asked to leave or be prevented from entering the park.
For the safety of guests, they may be asked to remove part(s) of their attire or accessories before riding certain attractions. Also, depending on the type of costumes worn, they may not be admitted to certain attractions.
* During the Halloween period, the costume rules will differ from the ones listed in this guideline.
- Guests may not be admitted to the park if wearing costumes that may offend public order and morals, or violate public decency laws (such as tattoos and excessive skin exposure deemed unfit for the park).
- Any items that resemble weapons (including toys and handmade items) cannot be brought in the park (except for toys and other items that are sold in the park.)
- Guests wearing full-face masks, helmets, or other types of headgear that hide the entirety of the face may not be admitted to the park, and may be refused at attractions (except for toys and other items sold within the park).
- Attire and accessories that may pose a danger to other guests and crew members are not allowed.
- For the purpose of crime prevention within the park, attire that have the possibility of inciting trouble are not allowed.
- Please refrain from impersonating park crew members or entertainers through words or actions.
- Please refrain from dangerous actions that may hinder the operation of attractions and shows, as well as troublesome behavior that may frighten other guests.
- Please refrain from any photography or filming that may be bothersome to other guests, any activity requiring you to occupy a space for a long period of time thereby causing a hindrance to park operation, changing costumes inside bathrooms, or occupying mirror spaces for applying makeup.
- Because Universal Wonderland is a family area, please refrain from wearing zombie, ghost, or other horror-themed costumes or makeup that may scare other guests (especially children) in the area.
Unmanned aerial vehicles (drones, remote control vehicles, etc.) are prohibited.
Unmanned aerial vehicles (drones, remote control vehicles, etc.) cannot be used inside the park. Flying them inside the park may be punishable by the Aviation Law.
* A breach of the Aviation Law concerning unmanned aerial vehicles requires payment of a fine of up to 500,000 yen.
Roller blades
To ensure guests' safety, Universal Studios Japan® is prohibiting the use of roller shoes.
We ask the guests entering the park in roller shoes to take them off or retract the wheels.
Please note that we shall not be held responsible for any accident caused by the use of roller shoes in the park.
The following are prohibited inside the park.
- Entry to the park of anyone who may become a nuisance to other guests.
- Behavior that may endanger or disturb other guests, such as cutting in line for attractions.
- Attempt to hold places in line when waiting for attractions. All members of your party are requested to wait together.
- Eating or drinking inside any attraction.
- Use of bags, leisure mats, or other belongings to hold places to view shows. Unattended items may be removed.
Prohibited conducts
- Please refrain from feeding the birds in the park.
- Holding places with luggages, mats or other items while waiting for shows and events. Your items may be removed if left unattended.
About sales of alcohol and cigarettes
Smoking and alcohol drinking by minors are prohibited by law. Guests may be asked for proof of age when ordering. Also, please do not drink and drive.
Member or associate member of gangs and organized crime groups is not allowed to enter the park.
Please supervise your children at all times.
You may be on Camera Today
Filming or still photo shooting for media programs is always going on at Universal Studios Japan®. You may encounter filming of such programs and be photographed. Please note that your presence in the vicinity of the production of such programs automatically constitutes your expressed consent to use of your photographed images in connection with such filming, in media programs, or advertisements on the web or other media worldwide.
Guests who are unwilling to comply with these requests may be asked to leave the park.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
